First Friday Arts Walk:
On Friday June 7, 2019, Unitarian Universalist Church features the debut exhibition of fourteen year old Sky Durand with an opening reception during First Fridays Artswalk, from 5-8 pm. The exhibit “Finding Sky” is about the young artist’s journey to ‘find myself and who I am through art’. The artist derives inspiration from the colors of the rainbow as a way to come out of darkness and celebrate self discovery, queerness and what is good in life. On view and for sale will be fabric art on clothing, large and small acrylic paintings on stretched canvas, and mixed media selections from the artist’s 5×8 visual journal. Sky Durand is a young artist, dancer, actor and choreographer from Adams, MA. “Finding Sky” is their first solo exhibition.
