BY-LAWS

AS AMENDED AT THE 5/22/05 ANNUAL MEETING

ARTICLE I – NAME

The name of this religious corporation shall be: “The Unitarian Universalist Church of Pittsfield, Massachusetts”.

ARTICLE II – PURPOSE

It is the purpose of this Church to bring together religious liberals, to foster principles of freedom, brother-sisterhood, moral integrity, and human dignity; to seek the truth regardless of its source or direction; to respect, in each other and in all, the right of individual conviction; and to maintain a free pulpit where such principles can be proclaimed, so that they may be practiced within our Church organization and guide members and friends in their daily lives.

ARTICLE III – DENOMINATIONAL AFFILIATION

This Church shall have a denominational affiliation with the Unitarian Universalist Association and the Clara Barton District.
